Machupicchu & Lake Titicaca
November 3 - 23, 2011
Day 1 - Arrival in Lima where you will be met and taken to your hotel for the night.
Day 2 - Early afternoon flight from Lima to Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. Here we will be met by a bus that will take us to Inti's Spiritual Center in Yanahuara in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Breakfast & dinner included.
Day 3 - 6 - These days you will pass with Inti being at the Center and exploring the Sacred Valley of the Incas. They will include time for a sweat lodge and ceremony with Inti. All breakfasts and dinners are included and the lunches if and when you are at the Center at that time. If you are outside the Center somewhere with Inti then your lunch is on your own.
Day 7 - We take the train this morning to Aguas Calientes where we check into our hotel and after our lunch walk to the beautiful waterfalls at Mandor. Hotel and breakfast included.
Day 8 - We are on an early bus up to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu where we will do ceremony with Inti. When we enter the sanctuary, knowing that we are in a very sacred place, then the energy of Machu Picchu is in alignment to our spiritual search within and gives us so much. Hotel and breakfast included.
Day 9 - Free day to return to Machu Picchu if you wish or to enjoy the hot springs or shop. Hotel and breakfast included. The entrance fee into the sanctuary and the cost of the bus are not included today.
Day 10 - Today we take the train to Ollantaytambo where we will take a bus to Cusco, check into our hotel and then meet for our next meal together. Hotel and breakfast included.
Day 11 - In the morning time we will visit the Temple of Koricancha, a place that was very sacred to the Incas. Then you have the rest of the day free. Hotel and breakfast included.
Day 12 - Today we travel by bus through the high plains of the Andes to the city of Puno on Lake Titicaca. Hotel and breakfast included.
Day 13 - We take an 4 hour boat ride from Puno to the Island of Amantani, stopping to visit one of the Uros Islands, a floating island on the way. We will be greeted upon our arrival by the kindergarten children of the home/school, Inti Wawacuna. All meals included and simple accommodations at Inti Wawacuna or Alma de Mujer.
Day 14 - Today we can climb up to the sacred mountains of Pacha Mamá and/or Pacha Tatta where we find pre-Inca ceremonial sites which are still used by the people of the island. Horses are available to rent for the hike up the mountain. All meals are included and simple accommodations at Inti Wawacuna or Alma de Mujer.
Day 15 - We take the boat in the morning from the island to the Capachica peninsula where we will take a bus to Puno. Hotel and breakfast included.
Day 16 - Today we will take our bus to the frontier with Bolivia, stopping along the way to visit the Gateway of the Gods, Amaru Muru, a very ancient portal. Once we arrive to Bolivia we will take another bus to Tiahuanaco, the capital of the ancient culture of the same name which inspired the Incas to perfect their use of stones in building. From Tiahuanco we will continue on to La Paz for the night. Hotel and breakfast included.
Day 17 - This morning we will visit the Calle de las Brujas and the Valley of the Moon. La Paz is situated down in a huge valley and traveling to the Valley of the Moon you can see the special geological formations that are found here. Hotel and breakfast included.
Day 18 - We travel from La Paz back to Puno for the night. Hotel and breakfast included.
Day 19 - We return to Cusco by bus. We arrive in the afternoon and have time to rest or look around town. Breakfast and hotel included.airplane flight to Lima.
Day 20 - Flight to Lima where you will transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day to enjoy the capital city.
Day 21 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
